Conference Venue
ICCPR 2008 will be held at the Rectorate Building of Yeditepe University,
Istanbul. The University was established in 1996 on the Asian side of
Istanbul by ISTEK Foundation. Yeditepe means Seven Hills; this refers
to the legendary Seven Hills of Istanbul when she was founded as Constantinople,
the Second Rome.
The University offers 52 undergraduate programs in 11 faculties and
a four-year School of Foreign Languages. She has 1800 academic staff,
which is comprised of both full-time and part-time academics. Her student
population numbers a total of about 15000 of which 2500 are graduate
students.

- 236 thousand square meters closed area with 125 thousand square meters
open area,
- 319 classrooms, 22 lecture halls,
- 32 computer labs,
- 74 professional labs belonging to Fine Arts, Architecture, Communication,
Engineering and Sciences Faculties,

with internet access and private reading

- Residence Halls with a capacity for 4000 people,
- A multipurpose Conference Hall with a 1200 seating capacity,
- Cinema Complex with a 100 seating capacity each,
- A Theatre Hall with a 100 seating capacity,
- Outdoor volleyball and tennis courts,
- Indoor and outdoor half Olympic sized swimming pools,
- 300 square meters fully equipped fitness and aerobics center,
- 783 square meters modern shopping complex,
- 79000 square meters of open grassy area with benches and picnic
facilities.
The Local Organizer:
The Department of Art Management of Yeditepe University,
which is the organizer of the conference, has a reputation of being a
pioneer in this field in Turkey. The Department has been experienced organising
series of meetings, seminars and conferences on arts and cultural issues
